Warehouse automation and supply chain management software process a LOT of information, from receipt of an order to the time it is shipped to the customers. Working together with customers, Java developers, and product managers, I was the sole frontend developer responsible for transitioning an enterprise legacy software application directly from 4GL to an HTML/CSS/Javascript codebase running in a web browser...an industry-first technological challenge!
I established the information architecture, identified design patterns, wrote and verified customer use cases, and created iterative wireframes and low- and high-fidelity HTML/CSS prototypes for desktop and mobile applications. I documented the API, created a UI standards guide wiki for internal developers, and designed themes, icons, and other visual assets.
If these screenshots look a bit "dated" it's because they are circa 2010 — but it's worth pointing out that I designed these layouts to be "responsive" before the HTML/CSS elements existed that make today's Responsive UIs possible. The information architecture and stylesheet structures provided such a solid foundation that they are still in use to a large extent today.
